I am sorry that Sciarra won. The good sign is there is momentum for electing politicians that address working class and impoverished needs and make smart decisions as opposed to spending millions on boondoggles.. The fact that the majority of voters in the country, including progressive democrats are mentally committed to capitalism. I agree that poorer people have been excluded and dismissed as viable voters. Momdani's campaign is worth studying. Getting poor people interested in interested at the local level as you say is key. I wonder if others or even anyone but yourself, made the effort to reach out and compaign at public housing and poor neighborhoods.
