" Shooting An Elephant " could be the story you tell an acquaintance to remind them and yourself that participating in collective action is a specific kind of adventure. Like, he thought about his uniform, he had time to feel who would have the power of flattery or faint praise after he put a bullet in the elephant's brain, how much do I really need to be a government dandy, he thought, if I have to dramatize the benefits of the colonists and their occupation with all of my resources spoken for in that direction?

Two David Graeber has been where we are in thought, before....In the place in a lot of optimists' heart where you gamify the present: why are the party of No expressing their incoherent opinions ? All the while executing orders ? In Dan of Everything book the idea that fits was that they are creating a tribe out of difference, like kids in a family, schismogenesis here was the motor. It is just fraudulent, they will not make anything of themselves intros fashion, except like Ebeneezer Scrooges. Who will tell the administration hey are just enacting the Seinfeld where George does the opposite of everything he wants, or feels, or needs. Where is Cheney with his shotgun, Shiit. You are right, we need more than to understand what is happening.

Graeber sent his soul into the atmosphere of the pirate territories in the early 17th century. I find the lives of those warlike characters just equally as hard and lonely work as we imagine the life of a solitary trapper at the same time. But someone needs to take those forays into what could be. I say read Pahlaniuck's prediction of the January 6 riot , a novel called Adjustment Day. IF you like it you will be among five people including the author and myself, but it goes everywhere it should.
